Awards:

Bronze medal, 2012 Finger Lakes International Competition
Bronze medal 2012 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Gold medal, 2010 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

Food pairings: This bold wine goes well with game meats - wild duck or pheasant. Also pairs with the old standby, filet mignon.

Brasstown Mountain Claret

(The standard style of Bordeaux wine has not always been deep red. It used to be closer to a rosé, hence the French clairet, meaning pale.) This red wine, a blend or 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 75% Cabernet Franc, is memorably lush with a tapestry of smooth tannins and succulent flavors of wild berries, plum and spices. The Cabernet Franc is blended in to further enhance the luscious jammy and briar flavors that follow its perfume of dark fruit, zesty spice and toasty vanilla. Peppery characteristic creates distinctive, complex flavor profile. Made for everyday enjoyment, it is alluring and sophisticated; easygoing and flavorful.

Food pairings: Filet mignon, barbecue pork sandwich.
Brasstown Red

Our 2014 Brasstown Red is a blend of Chambourcin and Noiret, a new hybrid grape by Cornel University. This dry, red wine shows a light garnet color with aromas of cherry pie that fill the glass. Georgia Mountain fruit characteristics show in the intensity of sweet fruit flavor. With light notes of chocolate and a blast of exotic clove we would pair this with a grilled steak that will compliment the sweet fruit layers.

Food pairings: Grilled steak.
Mountain Harvest Red

100% Chambourcin (shahm-boor-san) (French-American inter-specific hybrid grape). Its nice crimson color and fruit forward, aromatic flavor has a pleasant but not overbearing sweetness. An attractive overtone of mocha and vanilla makes our Mountain Harvest Red easy to drink.

Food pairings: Serve with flavored dishes - roasted lamb or serve with dark chocolate as the flavors of the wine and chocolate intermingle exceptionally well.
